Anna Agnes is a PhD Fellow with a Post Graduate Diploma in project planning and Management from Uganda Management Institute Kampala, she also has a Master of Science in Public Health from James P Grant School of public Health B RAC University Bangladesh and a Bachelor of Science in Nursing from Makerere University, Kampala.
Anna Agnes has knowledge and skills gained through other trainings which includes: - Training on pedagogy at Lira University,
Clinical Forensic Medicine training for Health Tutors and Nurses in Uganda, Training on Option B Plus for Elimination of Mother to Child Transmission of HIV, Training on new guideline for PMTCT Early infant diagnosis and HCT, Training on comprehensive care and support of people living with HIV/AIDS using IMAI and IMCI approach, Regional Training of Trainers for Northern Region by Young Empowered and Healthy (YEAH), Training in Documenting Promising and Best Practice by IPPF Regional Office, Training in Youth Friendly Service, Psychological Care and Counselling by RHU, Effective Co-Counselling and Communication Skills at Makerere University Medical School among others.
Anna Agnes has been a Lecturer, Lira University from August 2013 till to date; before then, she worked with various agencies in different capacities including: Program Officer, Elisabeth Glaser Pediatric AIDS Foundation/STAR-SW, District Technical Officer-Clinical Services JSI/NUMAT (Northern Uganda Malaria and Tuberculosis Program), Provided support to the HCT/PMTCT, ART, PHAs, and SMC Managers in the five districts of Alebtong, Amolatar, Dokolo, Lira and Kole, Reproductive Health Officer; JSI/UPHOLD (Uganda Program for Human and Holistic Development), Service Provider in-Charge, Lira Branch, Reproductive Health Uganda and Clinic Supervisor, Medecins Sans Frontiers Holland.
