Hudson is a Ugandan citizen, He has a master’s of science degree in Agroforestry from Makerere University and a bachelor’s of science degree in Agriculture from the same university backed by a first class national Diploma in crop production and management from Arapai Agricultural College. He has attended arrays of professional and skills development trainings that among others include; International training course in organic Agriculture (ITCOA), research methods, forestry resource assessment and GIS, Theory of change (ToC), Organization Development and Financial Management, Disaster Risk Reduction (DRR) and climate change adaptation (CCA), Value chain Development, Emergency Food security and Livelihoods (EFSL), Household food insecurity and Access scan (HFIAS) and Clients satisfactory instruments (CSI), Gender in Value chain Development, Vegetable Oil Development Program (VODP), Emmergencies in water sanitation and hygiene by Oxfam, Resource identification, Mobilization and Management, Farming Gods way, Conservation Agriculture – green manure / Cover crops, farming schools methodologies, vast computer package skills, lobby and advocacy, strategic planning etc.
Hudson has wealth of experience in programming, managing and implementing various programs; specifically he has worked in the following capacities; Diocesan Administrator & Diocesan planning and development officer (DPDO) at the church of Uganda Diocese of Lango, Project Manager Food and Nutrition Security (FNS) / Ag. Program Manager at Development Training and Research Centre (DETREC), Program Coordinator at Initiatives for Community Empowerment and Support (ICES), Logistics Manager and Deputy National project coordinator for the International Training Course on Organic Agriculture (ITCOA-Makerere University), Research supervisor at North east chille producers association (NECPA- NWO-Food & Business Applied Research Fund (ARF) – Under call 1), Field Extension officer / Associate at Development Training and Research Centre (DETREC), Front Line Extension worker (FLEW), Agricultural Advisory Service Provider (AASP) and A.g Sub County NAADS Coordinator at Dokolo District Local Government (Agwata, Adok, Kangai and Bata Sub Counties), Farmer Field School Facilitator with FAO UN-NERICA Rice Project, Service Provider at Apac District Local Government (Inomo and Abongomola Sub Counties). Hudson is also a lead consultant with PHD Solutions Limited based in Lira and has spear-headed several Agricultural consultancy assignments and studies locally and nationally.
He has wealth of leadership experience and skills attained in managing human resources at various institutions, viz; Chairperson Lango food security and nutrition cluster, a consortuim of eigjht NGOs in Lango, Minister for internal affairs at Makerere University, Chairperson organizing committee grand Annual kabanyolo day at Makerere University, Guild President at Arapai Agricultural College, Chairperson UNSA at Arapai Agricultural College, Chairperson Facilitation for Innovations and Sustainable productivity (FINASP) at Makerere University, General Secretary UNSA at Arapai Agricultural College, Chairperson Biology And Agriculture Club at Mulusa Academy Wobulenzi, Chief Advisor Lango Students Association (LASA) at Arapai Agricultural College. In his professional carrier, he attained a number of awards and or key recognitions that are worth noting; some of them includes; Special recognition award for excelling as the best students leader and students role model at Makerere University, Technical staff of the year award at Agwata Sub County in 2009, Staff of the year award in 2007, from Shammah Enterprises Limited, President of the College and the overall best student in academics (2005-2007) from the governing council Arapai Agricultural College. He is also the founder facilitation for innovations and sustainable productivity (FINASP) (2010), Founder Northern Uganda Agric Professionals Union (2012). He has offered specialized leadership to multidisciplinary teams; Team Leader, Value chain Development (VCD) assessment, Lango sub region-Northern Uganda -2013, Team Leader, Client satisfactory index (CSI) assessment, Lango sub region-Northern Uganda -2013.
